Andrea Blais, M.A

My name is Andrea Blais. I am a mental health counselor who has worked on building her skills in a variety of areas and settings, such as group therapy in a partial program, individual therapy at a private practice, as well as school and outpatient counseling at an agency. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, conducting individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions. In addition, I have provided parental support and skill building.

I utilize a non-judgmental collaborative approach with clients that focuses on their goals and needs. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Behavioral Therapy (BT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Clients have also found value when I apply cognitive somatic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), as well as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), which utilizes tapping on body parts to help align the body’s energy systems and desensitize triggers.

My clients describe me as kind, non-judgmental, as well as committed to their health and well-being. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and the elderly.

I am currently accepting clients and would love to be a part of your journey to self-improvement.
